Prototype Rages Towards Retail

The long awaited Prototype finally reaches retail stores and looks set to be quite an impressive 'anger management' game, tearing through hordes of military personnel, the 'Infected' and even innocent bystanders. Our protagonist - Alex Mercer - wakes in a morgue to find himself genetically modified with new shape shifting powers and a fresh taste for revenge. Throwing himself at New York and its inhabitants he hunts down those responsible for him being this way.

Ever since the first teaser videos of this game appeared I knew it had to be something special. The idea of being the 'Ultimate Badass' (spoken in your best badass voice) and anti-superhero is exactly what you need after a long day. Ripping hundreds of people apart, destroying cars, tanks, helicopters, even buildings - it just sounds great.

The game itself appears to be a mix of intense action, parkour and memory based storytelling. Hopefully the story can hold up to the action.

Im very much looking forward to playing this after I finish Bionic Commando (I know, I know - I've not finished it yet....) so lets just hope it doesnt suck.
